Thank you very much for the transfer of $1,490. We have received it in the TRAID account, and we are carrying out food distribution this weekend.
This week, we hosted a refugee women’s talk at the center, and it was a very good. The women shared openly about their trauma experiences and the challenges they are facing. They also expressed a strong desire for these gatherings to happen more regularly, so they can continue to come together and speak freely in a safe and supportive space.
Regarding the situation in Sudan, it is becoming more difficult each day. In South Kordofan, there are increasing reports of drone strikes targeting rebel groups, but unfortunately, civilians are the ones suffering the most. Many people are living in constant fear.
We have also received troubling reports of violence in the Nuba Mountains between the Toro and Shawaia communities. Many innocent women and children have been killed. From what we have heard, weapons were smuggled into the communities, allegedly involving individuals connected to the Sudanese government, their plan was to create conflict and division among the community. Some of those individuals were arrested, while others managed to escape. The situation remains deeply concerning.
Thank you for your continued support,
Kizito, on behalf of the TRAID team
