#WalkinSolidarity2026 on World Refugee Day

This artwork represent the hopes of a 7 year old boy whose family has taken refugee in Uganda, originally from Kassala, Sudan (shared with permission):

“This is Ahmed and Omer. They are my friends. They are our neighbors.

We used to play together. I miss them. I don’t know where they went.

We used to play every day, from morning until night.

When I go back, we will play again.”


Each day in June, I’m walking in solidarity with Sudanese refugees. My goal is to walk 3.1 mi / 5 km per day to raise $4,000 USD this month. We still need to raise $2,739.
