#WalkinSolidarity2026, June 22

Today: 3.1 mi / 5 km
June Total: 70.6 mi / 113.7 km

$27 in donations came in overnight. My thanks to those two Korean people, whom I’ve never met.

Saw these beautiful daisies as I walked. Reminds me of words from a wise man, “Consider the flowers. They do not toil and spin, yet not even a King in all his splendor is dressed as beautifully as one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow thrown into the fire, will God not much more clothe you…?”

Sometimes I toil and spin because of all those whose needs are unmet – rage at the injustice – fret and worry and sink into a puddle of despair. And, this wisdom reminds me to look at the flowers and simply trust.

I’ll do my part. I’ll stretch and grow toward the sun. And, I’ll trust that God will do the rest.

Each day in June, I’m walking in solidarity with Sudanese refugees. My goal is to walk 3.1 mi / 5 km per day to raise $4,000 USD this month. We still need to raise $2,712.

All donations will go to Trauma Rescue Aid’s food distribution program for the more than 700 Sudanese refugee families they serve. Let me know your pledge in the comments below or make your donation today:
