Chosen Peoples Nationalism: Christian Zionism in South Korea: 4/23 @ 8 pm ET

Cross-posting an invitation to a webinar hosted by Korea Peace Now Grassroots Network (source):

Join a webinar exploring how Korean evangelical support for Israel functions as “chosen peoples nationalism.”

We’ll examine its roots in anti-communist and anti-LGBT sentiment, end-times theology, and historical revisionism — and how these forces sacralize militarism, erase Palestinian narratives, and promote a neo‑imperial vision of global Christian dominance. Ideal for scholars, activists, and anyone interested in religion and geopolitics. Register HERE.

The speaker, Keunjoo Christine Pae, is a Professor of Religion and Women’s and Gender Studies and Chair of Religion at Denison University. She is an author of A Transpacific Imagination of Theology, Ethics, and Spiritual Activism: Doing Feminist Ethics Transnationally (2023) and co-editor of Searching for the Future in the Past: Reclaiming Feminist Theological Visions (2024) and Embodying Antiracist Christianity: Asian American Theological Resources for Just Racial Relations (2023). She is an Episcopal priest who canonically resides in the Diocese of Newark.

Register HERE.
