RSF Siege of Dilling and Kaduguli Comes to an End

For the last 2 years, the RSF militia has held the cities of Dilling and Kaduguli under siege, blocking food, targeting civilian infrastructure (hospitals, schools, markets) with drone attacks, and committing horrific violence against civilians who tried to escape. Last week, the Sudanese armed forces (SAF) drove the RSF away from Dilling, and this week, they drove them away from Kaduguli.

To be clear, both of these armies have committed civilian atrocities: one is the national army and the other is a genocidal militia vying for control. Many Sudanese people want a civilian (non-military) government that works for all people.

As an international community, we can see this moment as an opportunity for:
• Publicly supporting immediate and sustained humanitarian access to Kadugli, Dilling, and surrounding areas (like Habila)
• Action to ensure civilian protection and independent monitoring during this critical period
• Increasing humanitarian funding and diplomatic pressure to ensure aid reaches those deliberately cut off

To stand with us, please ask your representatives to seize this opportunity through an email petition:

See my open letter to my representatives below:

Dear Representative,

I am writing to urge immediate action regarding the humanitarian crisis in Kadugli, the capital of South Kordofan, Sudan and nearby Dilling, South Kordofan.

For nearly two years, civilians in Kadugli and Dilling were subjected to a siege that cut off food, medical supplies, and humanitarian assistance. Families were trapped, hospitals operated without supplies, and starvation became a daily reality. As of Early February 2026, the Sudanese Armed Forces have lifted these sieges and this moment needs to be a turning point in the war.

While recent developments may allow limited access to the area, this moment is extremely fragile. Without sustained humanitarian corridors and civilian protection, civilians remain at serious risk even after the siege has been broken.

I urge you to:

  • Publicly support immediate and sustained humanitarian access to Kadugli, Dilling, and surrounding areas (like Habila)
  • Take action to ensure civilian protection and independent monitoring during this critical period
  • Increase humanitarian funding and diplomatic pressure to ensure aid reaches those deliberately cut off

Delays cost lives. This moment requires urgency, leadership, and accountability.
I ask that you treat this crisis with the seriousness it demands and act accordingly.

FURTHER ACTION FOR SUDAN

Boycott the UAE: No Business With Genocide

Sudanese communities have been abandoned by the international community, and raising public pressure is one of the few tools we have to push governments and corporations to stop enabling violence.

📧 Dear Senator / Dear Representative 📞

I recently drafted the following letter to my US Senators and Representative, asking them to stop the flow of US weapons contributing to violence in Sudan. Please send your own letter and call your leaders to ask them to take action.

Tell Congress to Speak Up Against Genocide in Sudan

The world is once again witnessing genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Analysis of satellite imagery by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab confirmed credible reports of attacks on civilian escape routes, mass killings, and executions—with blood-stained earth visible from space. The United States can and must act to stop it.
