  24 years ago this month, the UN Security Council passed UNSCR 1325 – the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Resolution – and, yet, women’s participation in peace negotiations is still far too low. Our world tastes too much of war, and women have had enough.

• On North Korea, Kamala Harris Should Prioritize Peace

  

  Cathi Choi says, ‘Diplomatic engagement is not “cozying up” to North Korea; rather, it is the prerequisite for peaceful coexistence and averting nuclear war. No amount of militarized escalation or sanctions will resolve the security crisis on the Korean Peninsula. We must instead maximize our efforts for diplomacy.’
