The pine trees on the mountain outside my apartment window have come ablaze in yellow almost overnight. I hope you’re enjoying the colors and raptures of this season wherever you are.
Next week (Friday evening, Nov. 14 in the USA / Saturday morning, Nov. 15 in Korea) the Korean Peace Study Group will hear from two of our members who studied Dangerous Women: Gender & Korean Nationalism, a book edited by Elaine H. Kim and Chungmoo Choi.

Eunsun, who reported back to us on her time at the People’s Summit last month, will be presenting again this month, and June Nho Ivers will join her. They’ve developed an amazing presentation on themes from the book (imperialism, role of women, double patriarchy, women’s movement, and Korean women vs. the US forces), so I hope you’ll be able to join us.
We plan to record the session for those unable to attend synchronously.
Zoom link for Friday in the US (8 pm ET/5 pm PT) or Saturday in Korea (10 am): https://tinyurl.com/KoreaPeaceStudyGroup
Looking forward to learning together next week.
