We’ll look at efforts including boycotts, quiet resistance, mass protests, and other ways to stop harm. This webinar will put them into strategic context and include suggestions about how people can show up most effectively and strategically.

Presenters

Author/Activist Rivera Sun has written numerous books and novels, including The Dandelion Insurrection and the award-winning Ari Ara Series. She is the editor of Nonviolence News and the Program Coordinator for Campaign Nonviolence. Her articles are syndicated by Peace Voice and published in hundreds of journals nationwide. Maria Stephan, Ph.D., is an award-winning author and organizer whose work in academic, public service, and nonprofit sectors has focused on the role of nonviolent action and peacebuilding in advancing human rights, democracy, and sustainable peace in the US and globally. Co-author (with Erica Chenoweth) of the award-winning book Why Civil Resistance Works, Maria is co-lead and chief organizer of the Horizons Project.
