This Thursday Evening: A Talk with Joy Yoon on Humanitarian Engagement with North Korea in the Midst of a Hardening Political Climate

This Thursday evening (USA time), the faith-based caucus of Korea Peace Now grassroots network is hosting an online webinar featuring Joy Yoon about humanitarian engagement with North Korea (DPRK) in an increasingly challenging political environment.

Joy Yoon is the co-founder of Ignis Community, a nonprofit organization that specializes in treating children with developmental disabilities. Joy specializes in Educational Therapy and is the Director for Special Education at the Pyongyang Spine Rehabilitation Center in North Korea where she works with children who have cerebral palsy, autism, and other developmental disabilities. She has written two books on her 17 years of experience of humanitarian engagement with the DPRK.

The webinar will be moderated by Sue Park-Hur. Sue is the co-director of ReconciliAsian and the Director of Racial Ethnic Engagement for Mennonite Church USA.
