In 2016, some of you donated money toward my graduate studies research into the caregiver child relationship of children in two orphan care institutions in South Sudan.
The coronavirus “staycation” of 2020 is allowing me the opportunity to catch up on organizing my old emails. As I was doing that, I realized that in the hustle of finishing my thesis, defending it, using it to develop training sessions for prospective foster care parents, and presenting it at different events, I forgot to come back and thank my donors – who helped fund this research! That’s a terrible oversight on my part. Please forgive me and accept my gratitude for your investment in this piece of research.
My completed thesis is available here.
If your interest in this research is ongoing, please contact me with any questions. I would be happy to serve as a resource to point you to further information, connect you with organizations doing amazing work in the field of care for children separated from parents, or to furnish updates on the organizations who participated in this study as I am able.
Please stay healthy and continue to think of others in these days.
