I plan to say goodbye to my family in America on December 16th. Then, a couple of days later, I’ll arrive in South Sudan to spend a month with my Sudanese family. A HUGE joy in my heart about this journey is that I get to take my cousin, Kyle, with me to South Sudan. I will share my Sudanese family with a part of my American family. This has been a dream of mine for a long while, and I am so grateful to Jesus for this opportunity.
Then, after putting Kyle back on a plane to America and bringing in the New Year with Malik and other dear ones, I will board another plane – bound for Bangkok, Thailand. New friendships to discover – a new language and culture to learn – new dreams to walk into – new challenges to encounter – new depths of partnership with the heart of Jesus.
If you, friend, would pray for me as I continue on this journey, I’d be so grateful. Sincerely. Leaving my family is harder this time than it has been before – harder for me – harder for them.
But the One who calls is faithful, and He will do all that is needed in us to prepare and equip us for the road ahead. And for that, again, I’m grateful. 🙂 Jesus is so kind.
