Hey folks!
Lots happening these days, but not much written reflection. 🙂 Instead, I offer you a few of the reads I’m reflecting on…
Book of Lamentations
Yesterday was Tisha B’av – the day that the Jewish people fast and remember the destruction of the temple. As is Jewish tradition, I read the book of Lamentations yesterday and let my heart grieve and repent at the retelling of such suffering. There is similar suffering in many parts of the world today.
Where are the Fathers?
A friend of mine posted this on her blog a while back, but she states in her typical Tami fashion (which I love) a question that I’ve also been asking.
Courage to Create
A lady who loves people in Bangkok writes about her interactions with vulnerable kids on the streets of my new neighborhood (I’m moving to Thailand in January!).
Typhoon Damages Crops in Famine Area
As if the hunger in this nation is not severe enough, a typhoon in July and another on Monday have come through and damaged over 80,000 hectares of crops.
In Days Such as These
In light of world events, Michele recounts a message she received from God back in 2001. It really does apply to the days we’re living in right now.
Well I’m humbled! Thanks my friend. Looking very forward to reading the rest of your recommendations on here. Miss you!
