Ok. So human trafficking – aka “modern-day slavery” – it happens much more frequently and much closer to home than you’re probably aware of. However, if you’re totally unaware of human trafficking, you must have been living in a bush for the past 10 years.

In case you live in a bush, here are some links that can make you more aware.
Some Awareness Videos (yeah, so shoot me, it’s change.org)
(Oh, and just to really mess you up, did you know slave labor likely went into the sugar in your sugar bowl and the chocolate in that candy you ate the other day?)
(I in no way endorse the organizations these links take you to nor their positions on all topics – even those related to this issue – there’s WAY too much controversy on issues like legalized prostitution and jazz… for my opinion? Well, refer to Jesus’ stance in John 8:2-11.)
When I woke up this morning, I had every intention of writing a proper post on this topic, but somewhere during the day I displaced the emotional energy such a post would have required.
So, a list of dry links is what you get.
And a salty appeal to pray for people who are caught up in this. Please. So many of them have no one standing with them.
(And just by way of reminder- our very good God is ready to redeem every incident of trafficking and abuse in this world. Let’s agree with Him in our prayers and our actions.)
