A few weeks ago, while I was tearing through the African bush on my
motorbike, I frightened a little goat. The poor little kid was
playing on the path when I approached. To give him a fair warning, I
gave a few quick beeps on my horn. The young fellow was terribly
startled, his little limbs propelling him high into the air as his
entire body stiffened.
I wondered if he would run to the left or the right, as I wanted to
be prepared to dodge him if he made a sudden dart in either
direction. It was then that I saw his mother contentedly chewing the
grass to my left. The little guy remembered his mother’s presence,
and hopped into the grass, his body shielded behind hers. In that
place, his body relaxed, and I passed the pair without further incident.
The Lord spoke to me then.
“Where do you find your safety? You can rest in me.”
awesome!
