I was in Pittsburgh last week with some dear, dear friends of mine from my Mozambique days. They have two beautiful little boys.
One morning, as I was spending time with Jesus, He gave me a worship song. I started singing it, taking down the words and guitar chords. One of the boys heard me singing the song, and said he wanted to write a song, too, which he entitled, “Jesus is always with us – even when we’re in space.”
I copied down these precious words as he sang,
“Jesus is always with me!
Jesus will never leave me!
And You are always with me!
Jesus is always with me!
Jesus is always with me – even if I’m in a rocket ship!
Jesus is always, always, always with me!
Jesus is in my blood!
Jesus is everywhere – even in outer space!
He can go into mercy!
He can go to Jupiter or Pluto!
He can go anywhere!”
Jesus is always with us.
From the mouths of babes… right?
That is so cool! Yesterday he encouraged us to take communion at the end of dinner. And I love that you used the picture of him eating a fried cricket!
