I’m writing to request prayer. My visa still hasn’t been returned to me, and I am leaving for Mozambique on Monday- so, pray that it comes. I’m calling the embassy to request that they overnight mail it to me- if they haven’t sent it already.

Still greater, remember the violence in South Africa. Oh, the suffering of the poor in South Africa weighs on my heart. In the last week, compelled by rising prices and unemployment, the poor South Africans in the townships have lashed out through lynchings and 42 mob-murders of immigrants from neighboring African countries THIS WEEK. They blame the immigrants for stealing their jobs and intensifying the current food crisis. Oh, there is such a spirit of hatred and desperation among them, and now, the Mozambican immigrants are frantically trying to return to their country, clogging the border crossings and straining the border patrol personnel. But, they fear for their lives. Pray, my friends. The darkness is great, but how Jesus loves to break open the darkness with the light of His love.
