“I was born to love. Gonna learn to love without fear.”
-Over the Rhine, “Born

“It seems so illogical that for us to learn love we have to experience
pain. Real love cannot be learned without pain. Where there is love,
pain is always close behind and our love either grows deeper through
it or our hearts become hard and we walk away. The only way for Jesus
to truly show His love was to experience horrendous pain. It doesn’t
make sense, but I don’t think it’s supposed to. If God made sense all
the time would He really be a God we would worship? If we could
understand His plan and how He thinks and why He does things the way
or in the order He does them would He really be God? I don’t think so.”
Pastor Ryan Akers, Warrenton Wesleyan Church

“I love Africa.”
-Overheard in a conversation at a coffee shop

“He said he only attacked her because of his love for her.”
-Masayuki Mori, as Takehiro in “Rashomon”
