Hey gang!
Well, I’ve been working hard this week on the evaluation. I’ve made progress, but this process is slow and frustrating. I want to focus on things that will be beneficial to World Hope, and I want to make my recommendations humbly. I’ve tried to understand the different angles and complexities of the issues involved in these projects to the extent that my brain hurts. 🙂 I still have so many questions, and I feel to evaluate from this point would be premature. So, I hope to be able to sit down with Allyn and Mamel at some point in the next week to ask my questions, so that I can finish my evaluation and present it on July 30th. I would appreciate your prayers for wisdom (after all, I’m just an undergrad- what do I know anyway?), tact, gentleness, and clarity of thought.
One of the pastors is getting married on Saturday. His name is Arun- you may remember him from an earlier post. Anyway, Kim and I will attend the wedding on Saturday and then explore the ancient temples of Angkor Wat. I am excited. It just sounds adventurous, doesn’t it? It’s probably just a big tourist trap, but we’ll see. Maybe Kim and I can wander off of the beaten track a bit. (I mean that figuratively, Mom. We’re not going to go looking for landmines.)
I’ll come back to Phnom Penh on Monday.
Much love to you all! 🙂
